My TEMPE Story....

Again...I tried on something that I never thought of doing it. I made TEMPE!! It's so unbelievable! Feels like wanna record this new adventure in Guinness Book of Records!! hehehehe! melampau lah tu...

Anyway, what is TEMPE? For those who never know and never see tempe before....here some info that can explained what is TEMPE all about...

What is tempeh?
Tempeh is a fermented food made by the controlled fermentation of cooked soybeans with a Rhizopus mold (tempeh starter). The tempeh fermentation by the Rhizopus mold binds the soybeans into a compact white cake. Tempeh has been a favorite food and staple source of protein in Indonesia for several hundred years.
But tempeh is now rapidly becoming more popular all over the world as people look for ways to increase their intake of soybeans and isoflavones.
They discover tempeh's versatility and delicious taste. Especially vegetarians and vegans find the structure and protein content interesting. Tempeh has a firm texture and a nutty mushroom flavour. Tempeh can be used in different ways. Normally tempeh is sliced and fried until the surface is crisp and golden brown or tempeh can be used as ingredient in soups, spreads, salads and sandwiches

Day 1: Incubating the soybeans after a few process of soaking, dehulling and cooking the beans.



Day 2: Tempe permentation take place



Day 3: Ready to eat.

Aktiviti Baru Year 2008!

Yup...no doubt..!! i'm not writing for quite sometime.

Yeargh..this is because I have a new hobby..hehehhehe guess what?

These are my invention on Tropical Malaysian Herbs. Would it be growing in this 4 seasons country? Let's try and see what happen..hehehehehe! Dah jadi petani pulak aku nihhhh...

"Maal Hijrah, which is also called Awal Muharram, is an important day for muslim. It falls on the first day of Muharram on every Muslim calender year, which is the first day on muslim calender.

The meaning of Maal Hijrah in English is migration. On this day, Muslim remember Nabi Muhammad S.A.W migrate from Mekkah to Madinah on the year 622 A.D. Besides, Maal Hijrah also mean changes from bad to good side and can be said as starting point and evaluate inner-self on self achievement."

As for me, I just hope that I will be better in person than before..thats it! not really want to promise and bond my self!! (am I coward??)

And as for my self ....i wish i will enjoy every moment in my life surrounded with everyone that I love...aisehhh!! syahdunyer....

After 3 day's visit : What I thought about Edinburgh??

Finally.. we're safely reached home on Saturday,10.40 pm 29 Dec 2007 after almost 6 hours journey back from Edinburgh city. Although it was fog at most of the motorway, but Alhamdulillah.. bersyukur kepada Allah...semua urusan perjalanan dipermudahkan...

What I thought about Edinburgh??

Wow!! ...no other words can described my feeling once we reached Edinburgh city...its rich and extremely violent history!! But I still can feel a very calm historic feeling...romantic...!!I can honestly say Edinburgh just amazing. Is not too big but has everything you need!! haha… it’s a beautiful city! It is a must for a tourists! I wish I can come back again....

And of course, A million thanks to Jo's & family - Andak, Aiman & Aliyah for your kindness and hospitality that u provided to us during our 3 days visits.Thanks for your lovely breakfast,lunch and dinner....even titbits for Iman! Tiada apa yg dpt membalas budi baik kalian!! Hope, you all will sentiasa sihat,tenang & cekal dlm menjalani & mengharungi hidup di Edinburgh.Panjang umur ,murah rezeki...kita jumpa lagi ok!! and special to Jo...best of luck in your study!! May Allah permudahkan semua urusan pembelajaran...balik nanti we all panggil u 'Dr. Jo' you!! InsyaAllah!!!hehehehehehe!

And not to forget Fairuz who will pursue his Doctorate at Cardiff...wishing u a good luck from all of us!! May Allah Bless U!! Take care ok!

And for both of u...please do come to Sheffield...our house is widely open anytime 24 hours...like 7Eleven gituh!!

And...i'm out from Scotland now...missing that place very much...emmmm.....I wish I can always fly there....

Day 3

We drove from Edinburgh to Glasgow . It was 1 hour journey, about 50+ miles. We reached the city centre about 9 am. Our main destination??? You won't believe it!! We aimed 1 Chinese shop that sell 'kicap' and 'tempe'!! This shop opened at 11 am so we decided to make a tour while waiting. Saiful make full used of his 02 SatNav (Satellite Navigator)...Just command a Centre of Attraction then it will guide us where we want to go...act like our tourist guide...hehehhehehe!
